Sumner Carpet Cleaning Service Area

About Sumner, Washington

The City of Sumner has grown substantially since William Kincaid brought his children to settle on 160 acres back in 1854, now counting about 10,000 residents within its borders. Residents and visitors can see remnants of Kincaid’s original three-room cabin, which was incorporated into a much larger home now known as the Ryan House Museum, home to all sorts of artifacts that convey the area’s rich history.

Originally named Stuck Junction for the local creek that runs through the area, then changed to Franklin after a town in New York State, the name Sumner was finally settled on in the late 19th century when postal officials complained the name “Franklin” was so common, it made delivering mail too confusing. Sumner was chosen to honor famed 19th-century U.S. Senator Charles Sumner, a vocal opponent of slavery in the years leading up to the Civil War.

Locally, Sumner has made a name for itself as host of the annual Daffodil Parade and the Rhubarb Days Arts & Crafts Festival held every summer. Give your local carpet cleaning experts in Sumner, Power Pup Clean, a call today.
