FAQ

What makes Power Pup Clean a “green” carpet cleaning company?

It starts with our proprietary cleaning solutions. While some carpet cleaning companies use harsh chemicals in their cleaning process, Power Pup Clean uses special carpet cleaning solutions that are designed to be safe for pets and kids as well as friendly to the earth and the water system. Plus, we use just a small fraction of the water used by other carpet cleaning companies – just two gallons compared to their 40! We do it through a special technique called encapsulation which crystallizes and “locks in” dirt and grime so it can be easily extracted from the carpet. And our earth-friendly efforts aren’t restricted to the cleaning process; we never leave our vehicles running to power our cleaning equipment, our carpet cleaning machines are designed to be supremely energy-efficient, and we always recycle out used cleaning solution containers. Plus, we don’t interfere with your indoor temperature by requiring you to leave your windows or doors open while your carpets dry – our encapsulation method means your carpet is dry and “walkable” in just an hour.

How often should I clean my carpet?

Many people think the only time to clean their carpets is when the carpets start to look worn and dirty or give off a bad smell. But actually, your carpets should be cleaned regularly to help prevent stains and to keep dirt particles from breaking down your carpet fibers, so carpets look their best – and smell their freshest – for years to come. Ideally, you should have your carpets, rugs and upholstery cleaned once or twice every year to keep them in peak condition and to prevent set-in stains and excessive wear.

Is it OK to clean my own carpet?

Grabbing a rug cleaning machine form the local grocery store may sound like a budget-friendly option, but these machines are designed for consumer use, so they can’t achieve the same deep-down clean as a professional carpet cleaning. Plus, they rely on chemical solutions that can coat your carpet with a sticky film that actually attracts dirt, grime and oils so your carpets and rugs get dirtier faster. Power Pup Clean’s special solutions are kind to the earth and don’t leave residues behind. Plus, our technicians are skilled in the techniques needed to get carpets truly clean.

How long will it be before I can walk on my carpets?

Our encapsulation process uses very little water, so you’ll be able to walk on your carpets about an hour after treatment.

Do you clean upholstery as well as carpets?

Yes, in addition to carpets, we clean upholstery, area rugs, wood floors and tile, so your whole house can look and smell clean and fresh.

Can you help me move my furniture before cleaning?

We can help you move smaller items like tables and chairs, but we won’t be able to provide assistance with larger or heavier items.

My carpets don’t look dirty, but they have an odd smell. Can you help?

Sometimes, even though your eyes tell you your carpet looks OK, your nose is telling you another story. At Power Pup Clean, we use special solutions designed to eliminate odors at their source, as well as germs, pet dander and pollen, so you – and your nose – can enjoy fresher air.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes, we offer a seven day guarantee on our services, and we stand behind every job we do. That means if you’re not happy with the results, we’ll come back out and retreat the area within a week of your initial treatment, so you can feel confident in your results.  Certain spots can reappear because they have gone deep into the pad of the carpet. If those spots reappear after our initial cleaning, we will come back and treat them free of charge, so that your carpet is looking its absolute best.
